Kaitlin and I met up to do a maternity session at Bellow’s Air Force Base on Oahu, Hawaii to show off her beautiful baby bump. We had the very best time and had a chance to capture her little girl and husband with momma as well. We were worried about the weather giving us trouble but, it turned out to be a beautiful photography session, and I am so very happy that I was able to capture these images for the Kirby family! Kaitlin really was so easy to photograph, she has the most beautiful belly bump and just learning they were about to welcome a little boy into the family was super exciting for me! I have a soft spot for little boy sessions, I have a little Hawaiian baby boy myself.
We ended up going to a place on bellows that had an awesome slant to the beach, and the waves were coming up just enough that I asked Kaitlin if she would be willing to get her dress wet. She was quick to agree and we were off! Kaitlin’s daughter Ryan, was so stinking cute, she was not having miss Brooke wanting to take her picture. So I had to come up with creative ways to get her attention and have her look my way. It is just so fun to act like a kid again myself, and just have fun and capture those unscripted moments! This is why I do what I do, this is why I became a photographer. I don’t want to make anyone pose unless we have to, that posey stuff, get that mess out of here. I want you to have fun, laugh, and just be you! My Families here on Oahu will always carry a special place in my heart, and I will take these memories with me as I move to my next home. I know that I can always look back and remember the fun we had and the laughs.
